ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
 

"Earth Connections" was a joint exhibition held on Gubbi Gubbi Country on the Sunshine Coast, where the paintings and ceramics of Lara-Jane Stewart were shown alongside the elemental clay work of Gillian Smith.

Developed between time spent painting outdoors and quieter refinement in the studio, these works move beyond simple depictions of landscape alone. They explore the energetic presence of place - the subtle coherence, movement, peace and sense of wholeness that arises when working in close relationship with the living world.

Each piece carries the imprint of that exchange.
