This painting is representative of us as ‘humanity’ imagining or visualising reality into being.
 
It is reminding us that we are capable of such exquisitely beautiful creations with our consciousness if we choose and that we are not separate from nature, since we ourselves are an expression of nature.
 
It was created in Lara-Jane's typical style of watercolour background rendering first, plus in this case acrylic ink also. Then for more than 6 months she worked on the fine details in wax-based pencil, which lays down richly over the watercolour paint in equally vibrant colours.
 
Many small worlds of watery life were detailed first before the human form began to emerge out of the natural surroundings, dreaming with her mysterious creative powers of human consciousness, not unlike the artist dreaming of and rendering the painting of the “Ocean Dreamer”.
