Perhaps the leaf feels it before we do —
the shift in the wind, the weight in the air,
the promise of rain before it falls.

This piece emerged in the quiet before a storm —
a meditation on weather, water, and the unseen wisdom of the living Earth.

While we seek forecasts and certainty,
somewhere in the roots, in the leaves, in the land itself…
there may already be a knowing.

A single leaf hovers above a drop —
a gesture of longing, or welcome, or prayer.
It made me wonder:
What if the rains come to serve more than we understand?
What if the Earth knows how to ask for what it needs?

Sometimes our work is not to know —
but to soften.
To trust.
To listen.
